On the morning of August 19, Xiang Tianbao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Standing Committee of Shantou Municipal People’s Congress, paid an inspection visit to the Yiwu Operational Headquarters of MU Group. Tom Tang, President of MU Group, extended a warm reception.
As introduced by Tom Tang, MU Group began to roll out local‑business layout in Shantou 14 years ago. It has successively set up the Shantou Operation Center, Chenghai Branch and Chaoyang Branch (Logistics Center). Continuous investment has been made in infrastructure such as product exhibition halls, logistics and warehousing, bringing the total area of exhibition halls and warehouses to over 10,000 square meters. These efforts help more “Made‑in‑Shantou” products reach global markets.
While touring the showroom, Director Xiang looked around and asked in detail about product categories, R&D, export markets and MU Group’s business deployment in Shantou. He showed great interest in the Group’s development strategy of “full‑range product categories, omni‑channel coverage, global outreach, full‑platform operation and diversified business models”. He expressed hopes that the enterprise would scale up investment in talent recruitment, capital input and market development in Shantou to achieve even more outstanding results.
Present at the inspection were Li Fei, Member of the Standing Committee of Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor; Huang Weipeng, Secretary‑General of Shantou Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee; Lai Henghui, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; Huang Shan, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Municipal Committee; Lin Jianheng, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Customs; Lin Xuhui, Chief Engineer of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology; Xiao Yimian, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce; Guo Yu, Deputy Director of the Municipal Tax Service, as well as other relevant officials and 13 entrepreneurs from Shantou.
Yan Xinxiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Yiwu Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee, accompanied the inspection.
